Welcome to my website. It’s for people who love the glorious age of Elizabeth as much as I do. Look around and you’ll find a selection of the finest houses of the period to visit; you’ll find intriguing facts you might not have known about the great characters of the age – and plenty of other background information. I guess you could call it a short tour of the late 16th century.

The late 16th century was a rich age of exploration, of literature, of American colonisation, of art – but also of warfare, squalor, religious strife, murder, treason, whoring, spying, poison, plague, sorcery and bloody execution. What better canvas for a series of thrillers!
